Renowned for its unique character and diverse social fabric, Daylesford’s culture champions a healthy environment and a strong sense of community – with these core values forming the foundation for life at The Village.

FOUNDING PRINCIPLE — LIFESTYLE

Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens

Integral to its identity and appeal for both locals and visitors, Daylesford’s scenic beauty, local markets and wellness offerings make it a hub for those seeking a connection to the natural world.

CONNECTION TO NATURE

The Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens is a prominent natural landmark within the town. Open for exploring, the 10 hectares of gardens on an extinct volcanic hill provide spectacular views over Daylesford and the surrounding countryside.

Daylesford Sunday Market

Whether you’re a foodie, an art lover, a sports enthusiast, green thumb or book worm, in Daylesford you are likely to find someone who shares your passion. The town is a splendid mix of celebrated restaurants and cellar doors, gastro pubs, art galleries, long-standing local sports teams and community groups.

CONNECTION TO COMMUNITY

The Sunday market is the place to go for those looking for fresh produce, unique artisanal goods, and a chance to connect with local growers or talented artists. Rain, hail, snow, or shine, the market is held every week and has become an institution for the local community and the broader Daylesford region.

THE MIDDLETON FIELD NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Village is in Middleton Field, a new neighbourhood located at the eastern entrance to Daylesford.

Since Hygge Property first started on the journey of creating a new neighbourhood at the original address of 17 Smith Street, Middleton Field has grown. A range of homesites at varying sizes are available for purchasers to design and build a new home in accordance with Middleton Field Design Guidelines, as well as the architect-designed townhouses at The Village.

The name Middleton has been used to honour the name of the original homestead on the land – ‘Middleton House’. Sitting on the crest of Middleton Field and overlooking the Daylesford landscape, the attractive homestead is being retained and renovated.
